Installation Instructions

1. Surface of your tank should be clean and dry. It should be free from any moisture or oily substances and should be reasonably smooth. If your tank's surface is rough or rusty, prepare it with fine sandpaper and wipe clean.

2. Carefully remove the backing paper from the gauge.

3. Hold the gauge one inch from the tank in a vertical position. Then, center it on the tank. Beginning with the top end, indicated by F (Full), continue to press the gauge against the tank until reaching the bottom, indicated by the E (Empty).

Reading Instructions

1. Pour some very hot water (with a temperature of at least that of hot coffee to boiling), down the length of the gauge. Usually, hot tap water is not hot enough.

2. The indicator strip will change color and the lower portion of the strip will quickly return to its original color. Surface of liquid gas level in the tank is indicated at the area or line where the two colors meet. If no color change or a faint color change occurs, use boiling water.
